1. How do I dispose of mattresses, sofas, chairs, etc.?

These items may be put curbside weekly.

2. How do I dispose of needles or sharp objects?

Place used needles in either a 2-liter soda bottle and screw the lid on or use a coffee can with the lid taped shut and put the container in your regular trash.

You may also turn them in at your local hospital; ask for housekeeping.

3. How do I get rid of latex paint?

Consider donating the paint to charity! You could also remove the lid, add kitty litter to dry the paint and place in your regular trash.

4. Why aren't they picking up my TV?

TVs and electronics are banned from the landfill! Please take all electronics to the shed behind the Municipal Garage on Mondays or Fridays 8 to 10 a.m. or take them to the Household Hazardous Waste Events in April, June or September for processing. Do not put TVs curbside!
